October, 29th, Barry Blitt

The Illustration Symposium guest this Wednesday will be cartoonist Barry Blitt.  At 16, Blitt's images were first published in the 1974 Philadelphia Flyers yearbook.  More recently, you will find his work gracing the pages and covers of publications such as Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, The Atlantic,and The New Yorker, to name a few.  Blitt also illustrates, Frank Rich's Sunday Op-Ed column for the New York Times.  Many of his covers have been finalists for Cover of the Year from The American Society of Magazine Editors.  One of Blitt's, New Yorker covers hangs in the White House.  He will be speaking in Shemin Auditorium from 12:45 - 2:00pm.
