Robert Sabuda Wednesday September 10th

On Wednesday September 10th the Illustration Symposium guest speaker will be Robert Sabuda.  Originally from a small town in Michigan, Sabuda, attended Pratt Institute in New York, where his focus was on 3-D Paper Engineering.  After graduating from Pratt, Robert, supported himself as a package designer, while trying to make inroads in children's book illustration.  Since 1986, Sabuda, has illustrated over 40 children's books including, L.Frank Baum's, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and Clement Moore's, The Night Before Christmas.  Sabuda, has been awarded the Meggendorfer Prize three times, an award instituted by the Moveable Book Society of America, in honor of German illustrator, Lothar Meggendorfer.

Mr. Sabuda will be doing a demo in room 332 on Wednesday September 10th from 12:45pm to 2:00 pm in room 332 Shaffer Art Building.  We are going to have fun!
